Las Vegas Casino Files Trademark Suit -- On Monday the Bellagio, a
Las Vegas hotel and casino, filed a trademark suit against Toronto-based
Bellagio Limousines, which does business in the U.S. and Canada,
accusing the company of infringing the casino’s trademark rights
by promoting its services online using images of the resort and using a
stylized “B” similar to that of the casino’s
logo. (Las

Rapper and Taco Bell Settle Trademark Suit -- Yesterday rapper 50
Cent settled a trademark suit he filed against Taco Bell last year,
claiming that the fast-food chain used his name and trademark to promote
its low-cost menu items. (New

Minnesota Saloon Faces Copyright Suit -- Yesterday Minnesota
Daily reported that a Minnesota bar called Sally’s Saloon
faces up to $90,000 in fines if liable for copyright infringement in a
suit filed by recording artists Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Gwen Stefani, and
others, for allegedly allowing public performances of songs without
obtaining licenses.
Inventor Rides Bike From Brazil to Washington -- On Monday
the Washington
Post reported on the experiences of a Brazilian inventor who
took a 4-month month journey to Washington, DC from southern Brazil to
seek recognition for his invention, a tire pressure alarm.
