The Patent Summit brings together experts from the USPTO and the private bar to discuss current developments.  Panelists will discuss issues related to Subject Matter Eligibility, Patent Quality, PTAB/IPR, and Written Description. More than 100 employees from the USPTO will attend the conference.  Private bar and patent examiners will have an opportunity to collaborate on difficult topics such as Improving Stakeholder and Examiner Interactions, Clarity of Record, and Service Confidence during the luncheon.   The conference will wrap up with a networking reception.

– CLE Credit –
Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit is being requested in every state in which attendees are licensed to practice that has a mandatory CLE requirement. The number of credit hours will vary depending on the requirements of the individual state. IPO’s Hardship Policy is available upon request. IPO expects most states will award 5 credit hours. – Cancellation Policy –
Cancellations received by February 24, 2016 will be subject to a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received on or after February 24, 2016. This deadline for cancellation applies to all registrants. Course materials will be available to those unable to attend, but who cancel on or after February 24. IPO Education Foundation regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. If a registrant is unable to attend, another person may substitute upon written request. Please note that fees are not transferable to another IPO or IPO Education Foundation meeting. Name badge sharing or splitting is strictly prohibited. IPO reserves the right to cancel this event without liability, and the total amount of any and all liability of the organizers will be limited to a refund of the registration fee. Any fees associated with cancellation of travel or housing reservations is the exclusive responsibility of conference attendees.
