Judge Declines to Dismiss Chicago Tavern’s Trademark Infringement Suit against Chip Company

Yesterday the Chicago Tribune reported that a federal judge in Chicago denied Billy Goat Chip Company’s motion to dismiss Billy Goat Tavern’s trademark infringement suit. The Chicago tavern claims that the name and symbol of a goat on the St. Louis chip company’s packaging causes confusion among consumers.

Australian Government Reports on Prevalence of Online Piracy

Yesterday the U.K.’s Daily Mail reported on a new report by the Australian government finding that although the number of Australians who download copyrighted content illegally decreased for the fourth year in a row, the volume of illegal downloads per person increased.
